MLK Day of Service & Education

On Friday, Jan. 17, we have a collaboration with Croton-Harmon Schools that will take place in several areas of the Library, so our public spaces may be slightly louder than usual until 3pm. We appreciate your patience.

Event Details

Join the Library for Write Club — an evening of creativity, competitive writing, and spoken-word performance!

Based on the idea of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), High-Intensity Interval Writing pumps the creative mind and helps develop speed, response time, and stamina.

Writers begin with a warmup of interactive single-word responses, build to a workout of an extended free-write, and conclude with an optional open-mic cool-down to build confidence and community.

Write Club is coached by local teacher and novice CrossFitter, Matt Codner. It is appropriate for anyone age 12+, from novices to experienced authors.

Free and open to all teens and adults! Registration is requested but not required.
