Event Details
Join us for a hands-on workshop with a forager from the Wild Roots Project!
After a quick orientation indoors, we'll walk around the library grounds to identify our hyper-local plants, their historical origins, potential lookalikes, and uses in cooking and herbal medicine. We'll also review resources, safety, and sustainable foraging practices.
Rain or shine! Participants will be walking outside and picking small amounts of leaves and flowers, so please wear socks and comfortable, closed-toe shoes to protect against ticks.
No registration required. This program is suitable for anyone age 8+.
More information about Wild Roots can be found on their website and Instagram.
