Her latest book, Help Wanted, is humane and darkly comic workplace caper that shines a light on the odds low-wage workers are up against in today’s economy. It was featured on Barack Obama's 2024 Summer Reading List and named a Best Book of the Year by NPR, Vogue, The New Yorker, The Economist, and many more.

Adelle will join local author Deanna Fei for a conversation and Q&A about the book.

Want to read the book before the event? Check out a physical copy from the Library or download the ebook or e-audiobook.

Free and open to all. No registration or tickets required.

Check out our Croton Reads page for more information and past featured authors.

Adelle Waldman is the author of two novels: Help Wanted (2024) and The Love Affairs of Nathaniel P. (2013), which was also a much-lauded New York Times bestseller. She lives in Rhinebeck, NY.
