We're excited to welcome Croton's own Kirsten Bakis as our 2025 Croton Reads author!
Her new book, King Nyx, is one part historical fiction, one part spooky mystery, and one part Gothic horror — all combining to create a total page-turner.

Kirsten will join Art Chung, head of audio production at Vox Media, for a conversation and Q&A to discuss the book. Afterward, channeling her role as a teacher as well as an author, she'll facilitate a brief writing exercise for audience members who wish to participate or watch.
Want to read the book before the event? Check out a physical copy from the Library or download an ebook or eaudiobook.
Free and open to all. No registration or tickets required.
Check out our Croton Reads page for more information and past featured authors.
