Why We Need Your Support
Although the bulk of the library’s funding comes from taxes, many people do not realize the extent to which the library building, collection and programs have been funded by the generous contributions from people like you.
Throughout its history, donations from Croton residents and friends have allowed the library to greatly expand the range of services it offers to the community. Examples of this support include:
The many lectures, concerts, art exhibits, children’s programs and most recently a Red Cross Blood Drive presented at the library are held in the Ottinger Room, made possible by a substantial bequest from Egon and Lilyan Ottinger.
The renovation of the children’s room, as well as the wonderful children’s programming offered on a weekly basis, was made possible by a generous bequest from the Meissner family.
If you would like more information about making a donation or bequest to the Croton Free Library, please call Jesse Bourdon, Library Director, at 914-271-6612.
For tax purposes, the Library’s EIN is 13-1739949.
