Children’s Programs
Here you'll find programs for children, most of which are held in the newly-renovated children's room. The children's programs held in the Ottinger Room are listed on the home page.Please note:
- Parents/caregivers must remain in the library while children in 3rd grade and younger are attending programs.
- If there is no school (due to holidays or bad weather), children’s programs will be cancelled on that day.
Weekly Drop-In Programs
Mother Goose Time / Fridays
A lapsit program for children from birth to 15 months with parent or caregiver.This program emphasizes both adult and child participation with movement, board books, nursery rhymes, songs, fingerplays and action rhymes. A great way to meet other parents and caregivers! Fridays from 10:30 to 10:50 a.m. No Program November 14, 21 or 28.Toddler Time / Fridays
A program for children age 15 to 30 months and their parent or caregiver. Toddler Time introduces toddlers to a gently structured, developmentally appropriate early literacy program, including songs, interactive books, finger plays, and action rhymes. A short playtime concludes the program, providing social time for adults and children. Fridays from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. No Program November 14, 21 or 28. Let's Pretend with Nora / Thursdays
An active program for children ages 2-4. Join Nora for songs, movement, music and stories. Thursdays from 10:30-11:00 a.m. No Program November 6 or 27. Preschool Story Time / Wednesdays and Thursdays
A drop-in story time program for preschool children ages 3-5. This program includes rhymes, flannel board stories, and age-appropriate picture books. Wednesday mornings 10:30-11:00 a.m., Thursday afternoons from 1:30-2:00 p.m. No Program November 27. Monthly Programs
Note: Registration requiredPre-K Story Craft / November 18
A monthly program for children ages 4 and 5. Books, flannel-board stories and other literacy activities will be combined with a theme-related simple craft. Registration is required. Call 271-6612 or stop by the children's room desk to register.Tuesday, November 18 at 10:30-11:15 a.m. or 1:00-1:45 p.m.
